Description
There are a variety of grits in the GodHand sanding stick line-up and it can be a little confusing. We are attempting to break down the options in an easy to understand way. If it still remains confusing, we will alter our format.
GodHand Sanding Sticks are actually sponges. Not the type you will find in the auto parts or hardware stores, but a super dense sponge that gives the grit a tough backing. It’s akin to EVA foam if you are familiar. They are available from GodHand in an assortment of thicknesses from 2mm for tight curves, all the way up to 10mm for flat areas. There are also assortment packs with multiple grits inside which is a nice way to get started and get a feel for their function.
We are sorting the sponges by Thickness, this is the page for the 5mm size. Assortment packs come with multiple grits (not thicknesses) as labeled. Color Sponges are “Low Grits” and white sponges are “High Grits” for polishing (MIGAKI), something that confused me at first. Sponges can be used wet or dry, and are low clog. They last a really long time. Honestly. So, grab an assortment to get started and then fill in with your most used size and grit.
I recommend 5mm for 1st time users as this seems to be the do-it-all size.
